“Mattia Wrote This Question!” – Sainz and Leclerc’s Cheeky Dig During Ferrari Q&A

Ferrari had their best result last season at the Istanbul park with A P3 and a P4 finish. It happened to be the first race where the team principal, Mattia Binotto, was not present at. In an interview post the race, Vettel and Leclerc joked about trying to keep Binotto at home more often.
This is when the Binotto trolling took really took off. This season, Carlos Sainz is replacing Sebastian Vettel and joining Charles Leclerc at Ferrari. In a recent interview on Ferrari’s YouTube channel, the new drivers line up took a hilarious jab at their team boss.
Leclerc and Sainz were reading out thoughts and questions passed down by their fans while discussing the same. “I think it’s important to discuss things, talk to each other, work together and not be rivals, can we do that?” asked Leclerc.

“Mattia wrote this question! It’s obvious,” replied Carlos as the pair burst out laughing. However, the drivers did sort out the priority this season.

One of the questions Tifosis had for Carlos was whether or not he thinks he can beat Leclerc. The Spaniard then talked about why it will be difficult for him this year and clarified the priority for the pair this season.
“For me, it’ll be difficult to beat you, this year, because I don’t really know the team yet and the car, but you always give it everything you’ve got.

“I think there’s something more important we have to keep in mind which is making Ferrari move forward together more than our own battle,” he said.
2020 was Ferrari’s worst year since 1980, as they finished in the P6 position. This year-round, the team is focusing on improving their power unit performance and their podium appearances.
