Max Verstappen & Sebastian Vettel Tease Racetrack Partnership With Mega Promise

Motorsport racers, including the ones in Formula 1, aspire to compete in endurance races like Le Mans. The long-distance races offer a new challenge, testing the drivers’ fitness and grit. While Fernando Alonso has raced in almost all of them, Max Verstappen is open to trying his hand out too. Turns out Sebastian Vettel is too, albeit with a rider.
Fernando Alonso is a proper racing enthusiast. Competing in Formula 1 is apparently not enough to satiate the Spaniard’s need for speed. Moreover, he is 41 years old and has no signs of stopping. Max, however, has no intention of staying in the sport for that long. He has expressed his desire to engage in endurance racing after retiring from F1, though. Sebastian Vettel, who has retired, may be open to the prospect.
Talking on ServusTV, Vettel said, “Maybe, if I’m not that old yet, maybe we’ll drive together.” [Translated using Google]

Max, present on the show, also confirmed his desire to race in different events. He told, “Le Mans, maybe Daytona, different races, yes.”
Red Bull consultant Helmut Marko, aware of his golden boy’s interests, revealed, “I just gave him a book.”
“That includes all the big long-distance races from the 1960s with great photos, with great people, and he looked at it with great interest,” Marko added. “Well, I think he’ll have fun doing it, but he’ll also be very successful with his speed and talent, without the pressure he’s under in Formula 1, of course.”
It is no secret how much Fernando Alonso admires Max Verstappen. He recently drew parallels between his racing abilities with the Dutchman’s. Therefore, it was only natural that he offered Max partnered him in endurance races.
Max Verstappen open to racing with Alonso
Fernando Alonso never misses an opportunity to praise Max Verstappen. Especially when the opportunity presents itself with a chance to put down his old nemesis Lewis Hamilton, Alonso is always game. The Aston Martin driver recently offered Verstappen to join him in Le Mans, a race the Spaniard has won twice.
Marca quoted Alonso as saying, “I know that Max wants to do some Endurance one day and that he is attracted to racing at Le Mans. I am open to doing that together.” [Translated using Google]
