Alright, everyone needs to calm down! Calm down! Daniel Ricciardo has finally returned home after four years and has reunited with Max Verstappen, thus completing the most dynamic and chaotic friendship on the grid, Maxiel. And the reunion of the lovers has fans dying over the bromance that was dripping massively during the launch of the RB19 in New York.

However, Daniel Ricciardo’s role at Red Bull is limited, restricting his skills to the simulator as well as PR activities. But his bonding is unlimited, with unbeatable chemistry with his former crew, and he seems to have picked it up where he left it four years ago. The return of Maxiel comes despite Netflix’s Drive to Survive portrayal of the two having a tense relationship with the portrayal of Max Verstappen as the villain. All smiles on all faces had Maxiel stans as well as us crying.

During the event, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, and Sergio Perez were present on the stage alongside the team’s boss, Christian Horner. But Checo, despite being with Max for two years, seemed to have been left dealing with the adults as the two kids, Max and Danny Ric, carried on with their chemistry from the past, despite all the ups and downs. The two were in the back, gossiping and laughing as Checo was speaking at the event. The bromance of Maxiel received blessings from the team as a post on Red Bull’s social media capturing the moments between Max and Daniel itself was captioned, “This feels right 🤩”.

Fans react to Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo gossiping

It was the perfect timing for Maxiel’s return, and it certainly overpowered the launch of Red Bull’s 2023 challenger itself! And despite all the things Checo has done for the team, several of the team’s fans undoubtedly root for the old duo to get back on the grid as soon as possible. But with Sergio Perez’s contract lasting until 2024 and Daniel Ricciardo’s contract stating no guaranteed time on the track, the time for an on-track reunion might be extended, or even worse, might not even come.

Twitter’s berserk reaction is absolutely justified and resonating. The moments between the two are pure gems, and they also brought up old memories between the two Red Bull drivers.

If this is the reaction when the two of them just interacted, then we just can’t wait for what 2023 has in store for us. Daniel might not get many chances on the wheel on weekends, but certainly, there’d be added pressure on main drivers, especially Sergio Perez.
