McLaren Trainer Reveals How Norris and Ricciardo Handle the Pressure of a Triple Header

A Formula One Grand Prix weekend is extremely hectic, but when there is a triple-header, it becomes more difficult for drivers and teams to deal with the mental and physical pressure of the sport. However, in order to tackle these obstacles, McLaren have Jon Malvern and Michael Italiano to help Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, respectively.

Malvern talked about how jet lag can affect a driver and how important it is to give Lando some free time during a Grand Prix weekend. Italiano, on the other hand, opened up about the importance of nutrition and giving Daniel enough time to recover after Sunday’s race.

How did Ricciardo and Norris perform at Interlagos?
At the recent Brazilian Grand Prix, the Woking-based outfit had a disappointing weekend, as both Ricciardo and Norris failed to grab maximum points from Interlagos.

Norris finished the race by coming tenth and grabbing a single point for the Papaya team. His Australian teammate failed to complete the Brazilian Grand Prix as he suffered a DNF.
With the next race just a few days away in the form of the Qatar Grand Prix, McLaren hope to bounce back and seize maximum points from the Losail International Circuit to help them in their fight for third place in the constructors’ championship against Ferrari.
