Almost two years and counting, Mercedes still doesn’t have an answer to their abysmal piece of machinery they call W14. When things were finally starting to look up after two back-to-back incredible performances in Austin and Mexico, the Brackley-based outfit fell from their high horse in the 2023 Brazilian GP. In his second home race and on a track Lewis Hamilton has enjoyed some incredible races, he will go home with a sour taste in his mouth. The W14 was an absolute disaster throughout the weekend as every Tom, Dick, and Harry were able to pass the seven-time world champion with relative ease. This brought an apology from the boss, Toto Wolff, but the fans rejected the apology even if the nice guy Hamilton did not.

Hamilton sang the same repetitive song that he had been doing since the start of the 2022 season, after the Brazilian GP. However, unlike most occasions, Wolff agreed with Hamilton and issued an apology on his radio after the race.

He said, “Lewis, horrible for all of us. Car can’t go back like this from one race to the other, we need to find out what went wrong. Thank you for surviving that.

Fans rip Toto Wolff’s Brazilian GP apology to shreds on behalf of Lewis Hamilton

The LH Army is brutal, and we have seen this side of them on many occasions. On this occasion, Toto Wolff faced the brunt of that as well. The fans did not accept the “thank you” note from Wolff and called him out.

The fans were fuming at the fact the team had been in this state for two long years. In fact, some even want the Austrian out of his role at Mercedes.

During the Wolff bashing, the fans also pointed out how low Mercedes’s pitstop standards have fallen and that a three-second pit stop is also coming off as a positive from the weekend.
