The 2023 Italian GP has become a milestone race in Formula 1 history, especially for Max Verstappen. The Dutchman made history by winning his 10th consecutive race. However, apart from his on-track heroics, the Italian GP behind the scenes was marred was off-track drama. The Dutchman encountered this drama because of Lewis Hamilton‘s comments about Verstappen’s dominance. However, after most defended and criticized Hamilton for his comments, the Brit has finally found some support.

Hamilton was not talking about the on-track dominance we are witnessing currently. The Brit criticized the media for over-popularizing the Red Bull man’s dominance over his teammates. Hamilton believes Verstappen’s dominance “gets blown up a lot more” than his fight against his teammates ever did. However, after criticism for his comments, Hamilton has found support from former driver Christijan Albers. Speaking on the De Telegraaf podcast, as quoted by F1 Maximaal, Albers supported Hamilton’s claims with two hard-hitting examples.

If you look at Hamilton’s teammates in the past, he secretly has a point. Whether you like it or not. Max also sometimes says something about Lewis and we are not allowed to say anything about that?'” (Translated via Google)
