It isn’t every day that the sum total of your life’s hard work, hustle and achievements gets immortalized for billions to witness. But in all its glory, that is exactly what happened to ex-Miami Heat legend, Dwayne Wade just a few days back. The 13x NBA All-Star was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame and bestowed with the iconic orange jacket in Springfield, Massachusetts on the 12th of August.

Naturally, in this beautiful world of sports, greats always recognize greats. And while the 3x NBA champ was adored by the masses in attendance and his fans all around the globe, there was a special ‘hall-of-famer’ in his own right who rushed onto his social media account to bestow his congratulations and love for a man he calls a dear friend.

Lewis Hamilton is arguably the greatest Formula 1 driver ever. And the fact that he overcame all the odds to cement his legacy in the sport as a 7x champion is nothing short of inspirational. But in the moment of his friend’s glory, which he couldn’t attend himself in person, Hamilton took the opportunity to shower heaps of admiration on the 41-year-old former professional basketball player.

Hamilton came onto his Instagram account to share a video posted on Wade’s Instagram handle of him receiving the accolade. Hamilton captioned the story, “Proud of you this great guy. Love bro.”

It’s no secret that Hamilton is massively close to some really great black athletes of our time. And there is none bigger than LeBron James himself. And it only made sense that James joined in with Hamilton to honor their friend on what was an emotional and memorable day for Wade.

James came onto his Instagram account and wrote, “Today is the official day my brother @dwyanewade goes into the HOF!!!!! WOW WOW WOW bro!! Man I can’t say enough how proud and happy I am of/for you. The kid from Robbins, IL now in the HALL!!! You a bad man Trey Ball! SCREAMING.”
