A trailblazer, one of his kind, started from the bottom, is now at the top, a man for the people, etc. The more we try to describe Lewis Hamilton, the more we sound like a UFC ring announcer. However, everything said about the man is true, but never enough. This is exactly how most people feel around the Brit. Although this claim is not limited to the fans, there are racing drivers who feel similarly about Hamilton. One such example is NASCAR racer, Bubba Wallace.
Wallace and Hamilton are similar in many aspects. The two are the only driver of color to race in their respective sports. Both like to use their platform to discuss and bring important issues to light. Lastly, both like to use their wealth and standing to help their community. This is exactly why Hamilton showcased his excitement back in 2020 when Wallace got the call to race for NBA legend Michael Jordan’s NASCAR team 23XI racing.
Wallace took the opportunity and replied to Hamiton’s tweet with a sly invitation. Hamilton showcased his excitement back in 2020 congratulating Michael Jordan and Wallace saying, “Congrats to Michael and Denny and a massive congrats to @bubbawallace! This is huge 🙌🏾”

Wallace has already expressed Hamilton is an inspiration to him. He reiterated the fact during a conversation with The Times.
“Lewis Hamilton is someone I’ve idolized. – I’m the only Black driver in NASCAR’s top level. So Lewis’ example—as the lone Black F1 driver—is particularly meaningful for me. He shows we’re out there doing it. To see him conquering the track damn near every weekend, it motivates me to try to do the same,” he said.
