WATCH: Unwell Lando Norris Shares Proud Moment Alone After Baffling Spanish GP F1 Result

That is some performance from Lando Norris!!! The young British driver is continuing to impress everyone with his drives in his MCL36, but the recently Spanish GP drive was something that required some guts.

He had been suffering from a cold throughout the weekend, which has affected his energy levels. Norris complained of trouble with his health throughout the qualifying session which even saw him get out in Q2.

But he turned it around in the race with a gutsy performance that saw him finish P8 and bring in good points for the team. In the park ferme, the McLaren driver applauded himself for the performance. And it was quite a wholesome moment.

Norris, after the qualifying, stated that he had struggled even seeing things as a result of the fever.

The McLaren driver did put a good lap late in Q2 to go inside the Top-10, only to see his time deleted for going off the track limits. He had no problem in accepting the steward’s decision but revealed that his main concern was his health.

“I’ve been much better, I’ve not been great all weekend, to be honest, and I’m suffering with my throat, my eyes, and seeing, which doesn’t help. I’ve got many things,” said the young British driver.

“My sleep and energy levels are probably the worst I’ve had in a long time. Not at my peak this weekend. I was so happy even to be in Q3 and to do the lap I did with how this weekend has gone so far. I was quite surprised, but it just makes me feel good,” said Lando.

It is surely a brave performance from the McLaren driver, who got the unlikely result. Norris had to work hard in the race on his way to managing a three-stop race and that saw him overtake some cars. But this will surely give him confidence going into Monaco GP next weekend. Hopefully, he will feel better by then.
