Chapter 2 Season 5 of Fortnite is finally here, and fans have a ton of changes to explore. Along with a new Battle Pass, the map now has new POIs, and non-playable characters. Moreover, the developers have mixed up the game’s arsenal with some exciting additions and removals.

Vaulted Weapons in Fortnite

Fire Trap

The Fire Trap made its way to Fortnite in Chapter 2, Season 4 as an uncommon trap. It fired fireballs that cause 50 damage on contact with a player. It could travel for three tiles but launched only when a player was in reach.

Scoped Assault Rifle

The uncommon and rare variants of the Scoped Assault Rifle are no longer a part of Fortnite. It boasted a 100% accuracy, and no recoil, but had slow mobility and inefficient close range.

Pump Shotgun

With a slightly wider spread than the Charge Shotgun, the Pump Shotgun was one of the most powerful weapons in the game. It dealt slow but extensive damage at close range.

Tactical Shotgun

The Tactical Shotgun has a headshot multiplier of x1.5, and fires faster than the Pump Shotgun or the Charged Shotgun. Over the years, it has gone through a series of vaults and unvaults. Every variant of the Tactical Shotgun returns again with season 5 of Fortnite.

Double-Barrel Shotgun

The Legendary and Epic variants of the Double-Barrel Shotgun have also returned to Fortnite. Interestingly, the spawn rate for the weapon is as low as 1.53%.

P90

The Sub-Machine guns in Fortnite have a significant addition in the form of P90. It has a x1.75 headshot multiplier but lacks first shot accuracy.

These were some of the biggest weapon changes in Chapter 2 Season 5 of Fortnite. Several big names like Ninja, SypherPK, and Fresh already love the latest season, and Epic Games would like to continue this momentum with frequent updates.
