The 2025 FedEx Open de France at Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Breteche holds steady with a $3.25 million purse. The winner earns $552,500, while the runner-up takes $357,500 — a gap of nearly $200,000. In total, the top 10 players will split over $1.8 million, and even 65th place is guaranteed $7,800.

Beyond the money, there’s plenty at stake. The champion collects 835 Race to Dubai points and roughly 25.8 OWGR points, both vital for securing playoff spots and tour cards, making this tournament as strategically important as it is lucrative.
These numbers also tell a far bigger story in terms of this tournament’s place in the wider golf economy. When HNA Group backed Open de France with a $7 million purse a few years ago, the event had the aura of the Rolex Series. But post-pandemic, like many other businesses, the event scaled back its purse to the current amount, which understandably felt more sustainable to them, especially under FedEx’s new sponsorship. What has not changed, though, is the prestige: a two-year DPWT exemption, world ranking points, and the chance to write your name into the oldest national open on the continent.

Players to look out for at the FedEx Open de France
Arguably, the most well-known face on the course will be that of Brooks Koepka. The last time he teed up at this event was in 2014, where he missed the cut. But since then, he has collected five majors, a Ryder Cup appearance in Paris, and a reputation as one of the most dangerous players under pressure. Now a LIV player, Koepka‘s rare DP World Tour outing is possible through the tournament’s sponsor exemptions.

Then there is the defending champion, Dan Bradbury, who will be looking to experience last year’s breakthrough again. In 2024, he regained his form from two shots back, giving a hat-trick of birdies to win among a packed leaderboard. That victory was only his second DPWT title, and it propelled him up the Race to Dubai standings. So far, his 2025 season has been mixed. From the 22 starts, he could only make cuts in 8, had two top-10 finishes, and finished T3 at the Italian Open. It remains to be seen if his ability to deliver clutch birdies will give him an edge this time, even if consistency has been lacking.

At last, there is Corey Conners, who brings a very different profile into the week — a stable performance. By mid-September, he’s played in 23 PGA Tour events, out of which he made cuts in 20, which is incredibly impressive. Further, he has racked up five top-10 finishes, including a solo 3rd at Bay Hill, top-10s at THE PLAYERS and the Masters, and a strong T4 finish at the TOUR Championship. His $4.2 million season tally is a career-best.
Saint-Nom-la-Breteche will see this week massive money at stake, a mix of proven champions, and in-form contenders vying to etch their names into the storied history of the Open de France.
