Sad news has come in from the Koepka household. Although they hadn’t revealed it, it turns out Jena Sims had been pregnant for about the last four months. That would have explained why Brooks Koepka was so distracted on the golf course that his performance had been consistently dipping. And now, after the LIV Golf pro has just returned from his trip to Scotland, he & his family have suffered a major heartbreak. Sims confirmed that they have lost their baby after 16 weeks. And she shared a picture of the ultrasound to reveal the shocking news.

As Jena wrote on her Instagram, “Trigger Warning: Pregnancy Loss and Infertility. At 16 weeks, we learned that our baby’s heart had stopped beating. This is a grief no parent is ever prepared for. We are devastated, but remain hopeful to give Crew a sibling one day. Too often, these struggles happen in silence. There is still so much work and research needed to better understand and support women’s reproductive health. If you’re experiencing or have experienced pregnancy loss or infertility, please know you are not alone. 💔”
Understandably, she and Brooks might be extremely heartbroken at the moment. But for her to still extend her support to anyone else who is going through the same shows how caring she is. Even after suffering through such a traumatic experience. Sims also added, “Lastly, I want to recognize the doctors and nurses who must deliver this kind of heartbreaking news every day. It has to be the hardest part of their job, and I’m holding space in my heart for you, too,” ensuring that the medical staff is not blamed for what happened to her. That way, she also protected the maternity clinic from any backlash for mishandling the situation.

Brooks Koepka & Jena Sims’s struggles with pregnancy
Back in 2023, when Jena was pregnant with Crew, she and Brooks weren’t expecting to have him till September. However, due to certain complications, she had to get a C-section, and their first child was born prematurely. Still not healthy enough to be released, they had to keep him in the neonatal intensive care unit at Jupiter Medical Center. “Leaving the hospital without your baby is something I wish on no one. It’s the hardest thing we’ve ever done. There’s so much space in my heart for NICU parents, and those who don’t get to bring their babies home,” she said.
Raising Crew was also a difficult challenge for them. Due to his premature birth, he had a Flat Head Syndrome and torticollis. That meant that the infant had to wear a corrective helmet for more than a year of his life to reposition the head. Both Brooks Koepka & Jena Sims also had to pay close attention and care for their son during this stage to ensure he doesn’t injure himself. All his issues in his career aside, the LIV Golf pro has been completely dedicated to nurturing his son’s life as he watches him grow up. But with the news of their second child’s loss, the family might take some time off from the spotlight and focus on supporting each other.
