Childhood Buddies Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas Go Head-to-Head in an Exciting Challenge

Jordan Spieth is the winner of last week’s RBC Heritage Open at Harbor Town Golf Links. The former World Number One and Justin Thomas are good friends and share a strong bond. Moreover, the 28-year-old professional and the one-time major championship winner Thomas recently participated in an exciting challenge.

The three-time major championship winner, Spieth took on Justin Thomas in an exciting nearest to the pin competition. The two close friends have played with and against each other on several occasions. Both the American professional featured in the challenge by Titleist. Not to forget, both the professionals use the golf equipment manufactured by the same company.

Furthermore, the clip of the enticing challenge was uploaded in the form of a tweet by the equipment company on April 22nd through their official Twitter account. Moreover, all the golf fans will love the little battle between the two long-time friends.

Spieth and Thomas took on each other in the challenge during a commercial shoot for Titleist. The challenge included both professionals hitting four balls with their wedges, which seemed to be a 60-degree wedge closest to the pin on to a nearby green.

Moreover, Spieth was the first to go and holed out of his chip shot. At the same time, Thomas also hit his chip-shot close but could not hold it. Moving forward with the challenge, both the professionals hit some crisp shots with the ball stopping close to the pin. However, Spieth emerged as the winner in the end as he chipped in with his last ball. As a result, he defeated his dear friend Justin Thomas.

However, this is not the only time Spieth defeated Thomas. When both were 13-years-old, they played against each other in a Junior All-Star event at Walnut Creek Country Club’s Pecan Course. Back then, Spieth defeated Justin by a whopping six-shot margin to win the event.

When did Jordan Spieth win his first major championship event?

The 28-year-old professional won his first major event in 2015. He won the 2015 Masters to claim his first-ever green jacket. Moreover, he won the event with an overall score of 18-under-par. As a result, Spieth won with a comfortable four-shot advantage on Sunday. He carded a final round of two-under-par, 70 to finish on the top of the leaderboard at the major championship event. His round of 70 included three birdies and two bogeys on the opening nine holes. As a result, Jordan moved out in one-under-par, 35. He made the same score on the back nine to register an emphatic win at Augusta National.
