‘Feel So Old’: Max Homa Has a Hilarious Reaction to His 2023 Farmers Insurance Playing Group

After the drama-filled ending of last week’s American Express, the PGA Tour now heads to California for its next event. The fourth Tour event of the 2023 tournament year, the Farmers Insurance Open, begins this week on Wednesday. With an incredibly competitive field, fans will undoubtedly have their eyes glued to the TV all day. Among those to watch is the 32-year-old Max Homa, who was recently reminded that he was a Tour veteran when the tee times and pairings were released.

Homa turned pro a decade ago, in 2013. Since then, he has won five times on the Tour. He still awaits his first major championship win, and meanwhile, he certainly is keen on claiming a few more Tour victories.

The PGA Tour recently released the player pairings and tee times for the Farmers Insurance Open, which begins this Wednesday. Homa was paired with Collin Morikawa and Will Zalatoris to tee off at 12:30 p.m. ET on the Torrey Pines North Course. Being a couple of years older than the PGA Tour youngsters, the five-time victor took to Instagram and hilariously wrote“I’m going to feel so old.”

Morikawa is currently 25 years old and will turn 26 early next month. This means Homa is nearly 6 years older than him, which is clearly unsettling for the pro. Zalatoris, on the other hand, is 26 years old, 5 years younger than Homa.

All three of them competed in the Sentry Tournament of Champions just a few weeks ago. While Morikawa lost his well-built lead to place second at the event, Homa was right behind him, tied for third. Zalatoris finished at T-11. All three will certainly be looking to grab a win this week. But with the field including some big names, it won’t be that easy.

Besides the three PGA Tour stars, 10 other top 50 players are part of the event field. Jon Rahm, too, is among them and competing for a hat trick. He’s won two consecutive events that he’s participated in this year, and this would make it his third. Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas will also be looking for their first win of the season.

The field of 156 players will be competing for a total of $8.7 million purse. The winner will take home $1,566,000. Luke List, the defending champion, is also part of the enormous field and will certainly be looking to keep his title.
