For the family man, his wife’s pregnancy is his top priority. When asked how he would celebrate the win, he said, “Well, I’m flying home tonight because we know the baby can come anytime. I’m going to enjoy it on the flight, and being able to sleep in my own bed next to my wife tonight is all I need.”

In the LIV Golf Chicago event, Rahm and Niemann were the only contenders to win the $18 million bonus of the individual champion prize. Rahm trailed in the first day while Niemann was ahead. To win the prize, Rahm came back with gusto and over two days, beat Niemann with a three-stroke lead. He was threatened by compatriot Sergio Garcia as well as Englishman Tyrrell Hatton, who both battled it out for the third spot and Garcia beat Hatton by one point to finish in the top three.
Rahm’s wife, Kelley Cahill, has had difficulty with pregnancy these past few months and with the baby due soon, it is quite understandable that Rahm would want to stay by his wife’s side as much as possible. However, he did say that he would maybe invite some friends over to his house and also spend time with his kids.

Jon Rahm and his wife’s complicated pregnancy
Jon Rahm and his wife, Kelley Cahill, have two children – Kepa and Eneko, born in 2021 and 2023, respectively. They announced Cahill’s pregnancy with a third child in March. The pregnancy, though, is said to be somewhat complicated, as Cahill suffered a dark few months recently. Rahm spoke about it saying, “There was a dark moment there with the pregnancy,” and although Cahill did get better, Rahm did say that for two months, the couple struggled to get through the complications.
With Rahm set to play the Team Championship next week, as well as the DP Tour events after that, he has stated that he will put family first in the event of Cahill going into labor. He has stated, “I’ve got to go and play golf, and if at some point they tell me it’s time to go, then I’m gone.”

With his millions in the bank now secure, he will go into the Teams Championship in Dallas, trailing behind Bryson DeChambeau’s Crusher’s GC by eight points.
