While many would think that the happiest they could be at the end of a golf tournament would be by winning it, Kelsey Koch proved them all wrong on Wednesday this week. Kelsey Koch witnesses a huge surprise at the US Adaptive Open
While Koch may not have had the best run in the US Adaptive Open this year, it will be an unforgettable one for her nonetheless. After the female golfer, Koch, holed out on the par-4 hole 9 and finished her round, she was surprised by none other than her boyfriend and caddie, Josh White. The looper got down on one knee and proposed to her. Koch, both surprised and overwhelmed, gave him a kiss and, overcome with joy, managed just one word: “Yes”.

The 31-year-old golfer from Grand Blanc, Michigan, made her debut in the leg impairment category of the event and finished 21. She has a left prosthetic leg as she was born without her tibia bone, which was amputated when she was 11 years old. Golf has “been the one consistent thing in her life that has never changed,” as per the USGA’s most recent report on her. And now she probably loves the sport even more!
Although the golf star’s stunning performance on the course went unrewarded in the sport, the proposal from her boyfriend made sure that it would be a day she remembered forever!
