John Daly, is indeed one of the most colorful characters in golf. Golf’s bad boy has been through quite a few health scares in his journey, but those incidents haven’t been able to pull down his zeal and spirit. He underwent knee replacement surgery in December 2022, but now all seems to be going well for him, and it looks like he has made a full recovery!

Months aftеr undеrgoing knее rеplacеmеnt surgеry, John Daly appears to be back in thе swing of things, quite literally. He is playing with his son, John Daly II, at the PNC Championship where he has been seen without any protective or healing gear on his knees. The PGA Tour Champions posted a video on their ‘X’ account where senior Daly graced the green in his classic colorful attire.

The video was taken at the PNC Championship grounds. In the video, Long John playfully challenged his son to touch his toes and then hit a drive. He teased his son and expressed that it was a difficult feat, as he said, “Lil John you can’t do that and I know you can’t take it back as far as me, good luck son.” The 5x PGA Tour winner touched his toes without hesitating or any problem.

Everyone was shocked to see him in good condition and hitting long shots including Junior Daly. The 20-year-old accepted the challenge and teased his father. He said he doesn’t want to top his father in hitting a good drive but touching his toes “is easy.” He then hit the shot and said, “Not as far as him but I guarantee it’s 30 past him.”

With the playful banter between father and son and Daly Sr. not wearing any protective gear, such as a brace, it looks like the golfer’s surgery went well. John Daly is a loving father to his son, and his gesture towards him at last year’s PNC Championship was evidence of it.

Daly had deferred his surgery to play with his son

Last year, at the PNC Championship, Daly announced that he was to undergo full knee replacement surgery for his left knee soon after the event ended. The 57-year-old star also mentioned that he had delayed the surgery to play with his son in a fathеr-son еvеnt. They competed and came in second, behind Vijay Singh and his son, Qass.
