At the beginning of the year, most of the PGA Tour players were against the rival league, LIV Golf Invitational Series. Yet, months later, most of them had changed their decisions and chose to play in the Saudi-backed league, the recent one being Brooks Koepka.
It has been a week since the 4-time major winner has been under the PGA Tour fans’ radar. He dug up his own hole when he couldn’t give a proper answer to whether he would join the LIV Golf or not at the U. S. Open press meet.

“I haven’t given it… I haven’t given it that much thought,” Koepka said about signing with LIV Golf. He seemingly struggled to answer any LIV Golf-related questions without raising suspicions.
Amid the speculations, the golfer has recently removed PGA Tour from his Twitter bio, which indicates his change of mind. Notably, his younger brother Chase Koepka already played in the inaugural event of the Invitational Series in London.
Is Brooks Koepka not happy with the PGA Tour anymore?
“I’m happy with the PGA Tour,” Koepka had said during the Mickelson controversy in February. He also explained that despite the 6-time major winner’s claim, the other players also feel content with the Tour.

Following such positive comments about the Tour, it didn’t take Koepka much time to change his opinion. Notably, he is not the first to do the same.
Dustin Johnson, Pat Perez, and Bryson DeChambeau have done the same. They had pledged allegiance to the Tour, only to change it for multi-million contracts with LIV Golf.

Despite offering the eight-digit purse money of each event, the Saudi-backed league has been paying the golfers upfront for joining them. There are no reports on how much Koepka will be getting. However, since his colleagues with similar profiles get more than $100 million, he will likely get a good offer.
The golf world’s reaction to the news!
Brooks Koepka is one of the main attractions of the PGA Tour. Some fans figured that the golfer’s decision to leave the Tour would be a big blow to the American golf organization. On the contrary, according to others, he will not be missed on the Tour as he hasn’t won a championship lately.
Worlds most amazing foursome (1.) Brooks K., (2.) Bryson D., (3.) Kevin N., and (4.) Grayson M

So another lad who can’t get near a win on the PGA Tour. Brilliant.

That is no surprise and he won't be missed. If he only had 30 players to worry about in the majors I guess it's only 4 or 5 now and that should suit him fine, he hasn't really contended in many tournaments for at least a couple of years. He fits the LIV profile to a tee!!

Another golfer joining LIV that doesn’t seem interested in playing for a long period of time. Does he even love golf? Won’t be missed.

Free agency just like all the other sports. Great for Brooks!

Good. Bet he goes to LIV. Can’t wait to see the PGA Tour panic when all these players continue to commit to LIV.
