Justin Thomas misses the legacy of Kobe Bryant
The former number-one golfer posted a picture of Bryant on his Instagram. He wrote, “Y’all ever just think of Kobe and watch YouTube videos on him? I do. Missing Kobe today (cc @max.homa),” Homa replied, “🙋🏽♂️” stating that he was missing Bryant as well. Olympic legend, Michael Phelps, also chimed in and said, “Everyday.” The Finnish snowboarder, Heikki Sorsa, commented and said, “I miss Kobe ❤️.”

But the comments did not end there. The fans also proved their love for Kobe and said, “Been watching Kobe videos on YouTube since 2006.” And it was followed by, “All the time. Home is so motivating. Lebron on the other hand is just 👎,” “Yup! Sucks we don’t appreciate people fully until it’s too late,” and “Yes especially with what the nba looks like now.”
However, there was one comment that touched people’s hearts deeply. A fan said, “Only dude I’ve ever cried hearing they passed without knowing personally. Laker fan since 9 years old. Scored 81 on my 18th birthday. Mamba mentality is life.”

However, some fans also motivated Thomas to up his game taking the inspiration. “Great inspiration for any athlete in any sport. The best,” and “Get that mamba mentality next week JT!” Another fan expressed his love for the star and said, “All the time. I have 100s of saved clips of Kobe that I go through frequently. Still hard to believe he’s gone.”
The unforgettable tribute to the NBA legend
During a 2020 Pro-am at the Phoenix Open, Thomas played the renowned par-3 16th course at TPC Scottsdale while sporting Bryant’s No. 33 high school jersey. He repeated it during the opening round of the competition on hole 16, where he donned Bryant’s Lower Merion uniform and achieved par. Not the greatest attempt, but unquestionably the best tribute. He also confessed that Bryant would “forever be an idol” to him.

Two years later, at Genesis Invitational, Tony Finau paid homage to the Lakers player. The pro arrived at the Riviera Country Club in the afternoon to play the second round after a decent first round. He shocked everyone by arriving at the golf course in style. Finau arrived at the Riviera Country Club wearing a custom-fit dress honoring the legendary NBA star.
The legend’s demise is a travesty that is still being processed by the sports world, his legacy, though, will forever live by.
