On this year’s anniversary of the saddening occasion, golfers like Jessica Korda, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, and Rickie Fowler have joined the ongoing never-forget trend on the internet where they fondly remember the people who lost their lives in the attack. Now another PGA Tour pro has expressed his core memory related to the incident.

PGA Tour Pro shares ex-POTUS narration of the 9/11 incident

A tragedy like no other, the attack of 9/11 is one of the most grueling incidents in American history. Four flights were hijacked out of which two destroyed the New York’s Twin Towers, one crashed into Virginia’s Pentagon building, and the last one crashed in rural Pennsylvania.

The remembrance of the calamity is still fresh in many people’s minds. PGA Tour pro Michael S. Kim has also expressed his sentiments towards the incident by sharing an emotional story. In his latest tweet, Kim told the story of how his best moment from the Walker Cup was when ex-President George Bush had lunch with them and narrated his own memory of the day of 9/11.

He tweeted, “One of the coolest moments during my Walker Cup was when President Bush came out a couple of days before the matches and had lunch with us. We had visited the 9/11 Memorial the day before and we asked if he could share what his day was like. Mr. President told us the story of his day on 9/11 (the PG-13 version I’m sure) and it was so surreal listening to his recollection and what was going through his mind during that day.”

He finished the tweet with the hashtag, NeverForget911. Like other golfers, it is an emotional tribute from Kim to the appalling incident.

Golf athletes share condolences on 22 years after 9/11 attack

Honoring the martyrs, DeChambeau posted a story on his Instagram and wrote, “Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives of those lost on 9/11. May their memories live on in our hearts and continue to inspire a world built around hope. #NeverForget.” While Jessica Korda posted a New York image with a broken heart, and wrote, “Never Forget 9-11-2001.” PGA Tour Pro’s Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas also paid tributes. Fowler, who is in NYC for the first time in 22 years during the anniversary, wrote that he still is at a loss for words.

Thomas shared Fowler’s story on his Instagram stories and wrote ‘powerful’. The tragedy has left behind a long-lasting impact and emotional scars which are not easy to get over.
