In case you’re not aware, Eli and Peyton Manning’s show has a theory that whoever appears on the show loses their next match. Their last six NFL guests have lost their next game. In addition, Russell Wilson of Seahawks and Rob Gronkowski of the Buccaneers suffered injuries after appearing as guests on the show.

Mickelson, who was a second-quarter guest on the show, was asked his take on this. Of course, this is not true, just a series of coincidences. But, Mickelson claims he believes it.

Phil Mickelson to not tee it up next week

Eli first explains to Mickelson about the curse and says that when footballers appear on the show, they lose the game. He goes on to ask him if he could tell everyone that it’s not a real thing.

Mickelson, however, said, “No, I believe that it is a thing, and that’s why I’m not playing next week. I didn’t know if it would carry over into golf or not.” He went on to give the brothers a tip on how to manage it. He said, “I think its important that you get people who are here on the manning cast, the week before by. Thats probably the best way to do it.”

Moreover, this was not the first time they interacted. Mickelson and Charles Barkley together defeated Peyton Manning and Steph Curry in a previous edition of The Match.

Meanwhile, Lefty analyzed Eli’s golf swing, who sustained a severe blow, owing to Mickelson’s sass. He said he had one word to describe it- ‘cute‘. However, he critiqued it too, saying, “The club is a little behind him and low going back, so his arms aren’t out in front of him… It’s a pretty good golf swing—like I said, it’s cute, but it could be better.”

What is your take on the curse? Is there enough evidence to believe in it?
