The Warriors outscored Boston 17-3 in the final phase of the game to come away with a 10 points victory. Stephen Curry poured in 43 points while making seven 3-point shots on 50% shooting. Klay Thompson also made key plays in the fourth quarter after struggling in the entire game.
The Celtics scored just three points in the final five minutes of the game as Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown went cold.
Warriors’ experience pushes them over the line
As the Celtics were missing shot after shot in the clutch, the Warriors kept making smart plays to make sure the scoreboard kept ticking. Golden State’s experience in such critical moments over the years helped them edge out the Celtics in a thriller. It was a close game from the get-go as neither team was able to build a big enough lead to pull away.
