No matter if it’s day or night, asleep or not, people still dream and hope for them to get fulfilled; Some do, but the rest, never. New York Yankees game last night brought back some dreams for the disputed home run king, Barry Bonds, and A-Rod of getting inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Both Alex and Barry have the numbers for it and everything else that one might require to become a Hall of Famer. But those numbers or records are considered to be tainted by their usage of PEDs while hitting those numbers.

Over the hope of Aaron Judge breaking AL’s most home runs in a career record of Roger Maris’, spectators had their eyes glued to the screen or field for the Yankees v/s Red Sox game. That game was getting broadcasted on the KayRod cast. Therein, the disputed home run king, Barry Bonds, appeared as a guest. He talked about various things, including his and A-Rod’s induction into the Hall of Fame.

How does the New York Yankees game make Bonds and Rodriguez feel?

While watching the stars of today breaking records with every hit, it is natural for the former players to have some feelings brought back.

When asked about his feelings on Hall of Fame induction on the KayRod cast, Bonds said, “It is what it is, that’s their vote. They are entitled to their vote and but that dream is still not over for me.”

The dream is still not over for him, and it certainly is not over for Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez. While Bonds pour his feelings out, A-Rod made a joke about setting the clock back.

“Maybe we come back for one more at-bat and reset the clock,” Rodriguez said.

However, their conversation got cut short as did the game between the Yankees and Red Sox. Yankees slugger Aaron Judge would have led off the bottom of the seventh inning, but the game got stunted as rain and lightning closed in on the stadium.

Why is Bonds not in the Hall of Fame?

This year, 2022, was the last and final year of Bonds’ eligibility on the ballot. For a player to get inducted, they must receive a total of 75% votes on the ballot. From the year 2013 till now, the voting percentages of Bonds on the ballot have only increased. But it has never been able to reach even 70. In his final year on the ballot, he received a total of 66% votes.
