No words can describe the kind of season Aaron Judge is having. Before stepping into 2022, no one would’ve expected Judge to conquer and cross Roger Maris’ 61. However, that happened. And now, no one can stop talking about Judge.

Amongst the multiple people talking about Aaron Judge, a former MLB pitcher, Tom House, who played for the Braves, Red Sox, and Mariners, reached his Twitter filled with praises for the 30-year-old record breaker.

How is Judge’s feat compared to Roger Maris and Hank Aaron’s?

Tom House criticized the people who are drawing unrequited historical contexts while talking about Judge’s newly broken record. He compares the different time frames that centered around Hank Aaron, then Roger Maris, and today, Aaron Judge.

House draws a comparison between now and the time legends, like Roger Maris and Babe Ruth, were busy making historical records. While Hank Aaron and his family received all sorts of threats, Roger Maris went bald. House, while talking about this, says, “Hank Aaron got death threats while going for 715. Roger Maris lost his hair going for 61.”

However, he moves on to defend the outfielder and says, “Aaron Judge chased history with class, support and positivity while giving every fan in sports a reason to watch baseball. Celebrate the positives, don’t argue the historical context.”

Where will Aaron Judge go next?

Moving on, a big question arises. Where will Judge go next? Before entering 2022, the outfielder failed to successfully negotiate a contract with the New York Yankees. According to the Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman, the Yankees offered Judge $230 Million for a seven-year extension. However, Judge declined that contract and entered 2022 by placing a massive bet on himself.

Now, as 2022 comes to an end, Judge will enter the free market. And considering the fact that Judge has now set a new American League single-season home run record, he would be looking at a whopping sum.
