Alex Rodriguez has several accomplishments to his name. A 14x All-Star player and a World Series Champion, A-Rod is a through-and-through New York Yankees legend. Despite his controversial past, his name is etched forever in baseball lore. But as time caught up with him and Rodriguez hung up his pinstripes in 2016, he took up other fields to excel at. Today, the former shortstop is a business owner with a net worth of millions of dollars. In addition, Rodriguez has also ventured into sports team ownership.
After a failed New York Mets bid, the former pro baseballer looked to the basketball world. Teaming up with the CEO of Jet.com, Marc Lore, he gained part ownership of the NBA team, Minnesota Timberwolves. Over the years, A-Rod has gotten closer to the players and recently even joined one of them at a game courtside.
