Rooker’s remarks come in the wake of his inclusion in the All-Star team, where he will be playing alongside Ohtani as part of the American League squad. Moreover, his call-up has come after a good season with the Athletics.
A season to remember for Rooker
Even though the A’s have not played well this season, Rooker has played his part well for the team. The left fielder is averaging 0.243 after scoring 30 runs with 41 RBIs at an OPS of 0.816. He has also hit 14 home runs, including one on the pitch of Ohtani. Rooker has also affected the A’s in wins with a WAR of 1.2. Now the 28-year-old will look to the same in his first all-star game while fulfilling his wish for a picture of him signed by Ohtani.
