The same seems true with the Yankees outfielder Oswaldo Cabrera. Cabrera had given glimpses of his best. Still, inconsistency has overshadowed it and is lost in the cycle of demotion and promotion.
According to the latest reports, the management has demoted him again for an AAA assignment. It comes in as Aaron Judge prepares for his MLB return. It has been a disappointing season for Cabrera after a few commendable outings. Once hailed as the solver of the Yankees’ problems for his passion and contribution despite setbacks, he has failed to live up to the expectations. It put him under a lot of scrutiny and eventually another demotion. With Judge running down the bases, Cabrera’s failure added weight to this decision.
Talkin’ Yanks shared this news on their Twitter handle. It read,” Oswaldo Cabrera has been sent down to Triple-A.” Inevitably it came after Cabrera’s continuous struggles. In the last seven days, he has scored only a run in three hits and has been struck out six times.

But things have taken a complete turn since then. And the outfielder is now looking like a lost star. Moreover, he has come down to an average of 0.205, with 4 home runs to his name at a below-par OPS of 0.574.

Few fans expect him to do better on the other team while agreeing with his departure.
Unfortunately OC has had a terrible upper cut swing since last season. Hopefully we have new coaches at AAA that can get him level. I’m not holding my breath, we seem to have a terrible approach with all our young guys.

He needs an extended run at AAA to work on that swing. Hopefully he gets it this time.

Fans seem satisfied with this move, but their dejection because of his failure is also visible. It would be interesting to see if he can make the most of his options in the AAA and come back stronger.
