$360 Million Captain Aaron Judge’s Pre-game Promise Sparks a Fiery Duel as Mookie Betts Obliterates the Yankees

Aaron Judge has been a fan favorite since his MLB debut. Judge has got praises not only by the New York Yankees fans but also by his rivals. One such name is the Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts. Recently, the two sat together for the latest show hosted by Betts. Both MLB stars talked about a lot of things, including contracts.

They had a healthy banter on the show. Betts also took a friendly dig at Captain Judge. To counter it, the Yankees captain had to make a promise to the host, which he will fulfill in the meantime.

The two superstars had a conversation about Judge Contract. Betts asked Judge what he bought after signing a new contract, to which he said nothing as he is still waiting for a couple of checks. The Dodgers star found the answer surprising and asked Aaron to think about something in the future.

He said,” The first. I would have bought it as soon as I ain’t happy yet. Give me a necklace or something.” To settle this, the Yankees star made a promise and asked for some time. Judge said, “Yeah, you’re right. You’re right. I got to you. Give me till, give me till All-Star break. I’ll start to break work with something.”

Though the 2022 MVP lost off the field, he is ruling on the field. Aaron is averaging 0.291 this season. He has scored 41 runs and has contributed with 39 RBIs in 48 games. He has also been solid with hits with 18 home runs with an OPS of 1.065. The 31-year-old has been involved in all the wins for the team since returning from injury and has become a crucial player for the squad. But a few months back, the Yankees captain was not sure of his stay in New York until signing a $360 million contract!

A big deal for Captain Judge after he went for free agency

It all happened after Judge denied a $230 million contract of eight years and went for a free agency. There were rumors of Aaron’s stay in New York ending in 2022. But it did not happen as the Yankees star went for his gut feeling and continued his stay with a $360 million contract for nine years.

He is now into the eighth season with the Yankees and will possibly end his career playing as a one-team man for the Pinstripes. What will the future bring to the player? Only time will tell!
