He hit his 62nd home run of the season against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. In doing so, he has broken a record that stood for over 61 years in the American League.

At present, Judge is the highest seasonal home run scorer in the American League. His 62nd home run took him beyond the legendary Roger Maris. In 1961, Maris set a seasonal best home run tally with 61 home runs. Though the record got hammered numerous times, it was a National League batter on each occasion. Therefore, Judge is now the elite batter with a new league record.

He happens to be the vice president of Fisher Investments, a business firm managing finances worth $197 billion globally. He is married to Bri Amaranthus, a reporter for the Sports Illustrated news daily.
