In the pursuit of their consecutive World Series title, the Dodgers will host the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday as they open their Wild Card series. For much of the regular season, the Dodgers, with 93-69, didn’t resemble the same 2024 World Series dominance.
They still rose to the occasion and wrapped the season with five straight wins and outscoring opponents 27–10 to roll straight into October baseball. On the other hand, the Reds with 83–79 also finished strong. They secured seven of their last 10 games and also edged out the Mets to grab the last Wild Card spot in the National League.
