The tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has been captivated by combat sports ever since the onset of COVID-19. During the precarious period when the entire world was confined to their homes, Zuckerberg immersed himself in the training of combat sports. His journey in combat sports began with Brazilian jiu-jitsu in early 2022. He competed in his first tournament in September 2022 where he won a gold as well as a silver medal.

Since then, Elon Musk challenged him to a fight in the ring, and Zuckerberg’s interest in MMA reached its peak. Although the match never materialized, Zuckerberg’s passion for combat sports seems to be only growing further. Recently Zuckerberg uploaded a pic of himself after having a sparring session which took the fans by surprise creating quite the buzz.

Mark Zuckerberg continues to train in MMA, stirring online reactions

Mark Zuckerberg in his recent escapade uploaded an image of himself on his Instagram handle which displayed his injuries after having a sparring session. He captioned it as “Sparring got a little out of hand. May need to update my avatar”. As soon as he uploaded the image netizens, which also included influential figures such as Nina Marie Daniele and Zhang Weili, took to his post to express their opinions.

The MMA influencer Nina Marie Daniele asked Zuckerberg ” How does the other guy look Mark?”.

In addition to her UFC fighter Zhang Weili also commented on his post. She added ” woooo looks like he’s been in fughting”

Judging by the reactions of the fans it is clear that they are kind of surprised that Zuckerberg is still practicing MMA since his bout with Musk was canceled, even inquiring about Zuckerberg’s sparring partners. Nevertheless, it is evident that he will continue with his training even after the cancellation of the bout with Musk.

The feud between the tech giants started off with the news that Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta is planning to unveil Twitter’s rival in the market. Musk in the heat of the moment challenged Zuckerberg for a cage fight. Even Dana White confirmed that both the men were serious about the fight.

The anticipation of the match was such that it took the entire world by storm. Witnessing two multi-billionaires facing each other in the ring was a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. Musk and Zuckerberg even decided to schedule the fight in Rome’s Colosseum. Even after all of the build-up the fight never materialized leaving fans in dismay.
