Conor McGregor will get the chance to avenge his loss against Dustin Poirier this July. Dana White confirmed that McGregor and Poirier will be the headliners for UFC’s July 10th event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. T-Mobile is the spiritual home of the UFC, having hosted more fights than any other arena in UFC history.
McGregor and Poirier both have taken the stage in front of the T-Mobile audience before. However, this matchup will mean a lot more. This is Poirier’s biggest money-fight yet, even bigger than the one the pair had in January. For Conor, a win here is crucial for him to stay amongst the elite in the sport. Another loss puts him on a two-fight slide for the first time in his career.
Conor McGregor x Dustin Poirier 3 is official for July 10 at T-Mobile Arena. Full capacity, per Dana White.
McGregor told me moments ago:
“I signed my bout agreement this morning. I’m going to rip this game a new asshole July 10th. The Mac is back in Sin City! Full house!”

Dustin Poirier could already be challenging for the UFC Lightweight title. He built the strongest case for a title shot after his win over McGregor, but stepped out of the way to let Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira go at it. However, winning the trilogy fight against McGregor guarantees him the next crack at the belt against the winner of Chandler-Oliveira.

Dustin Poirier is looking to establish himself as a bonafide superstar. Getting back-to-back wins against a star like Conor McGregor will put him atop the mountain in the lighter weight classes. But McGregor has a lot to fight for as well. While his superstar status may be secure, his legacy as one of the greatest fighters ever is not.
While Conor isn’t aggressively pushing up the GOAT mountain, he would want to be remembered as one of the fiercer fighters the company ever saw. He is already the greatest draw in the history of the sport. This is the first time he has gotten to a trilogy bout in his career.
