A few weeks from now, Jan Blachowicz and Israel Adesanya will collide for the light heavyweight belt in the UFC. ‘The Last Stylebender’ will be moving up a weight class to take on arguably his toughest test to date. There is a lot on the line for Israel Adesanya at UFC 259.
If he is able to win, he will immortalize himself as one of the best to ever do it in the UFC by becoming a simultaneous two-division champion. However, if he fails to get past Jan, not only will he lose his undefeated record, but the much-anticipated fight between him and Jon Jones will also fall apart. It will be interesting to see how ‘The Last Stylebender’ handles the challenge that is Jan Blachowicz.

TJ Dillashaw breaks down Israel Adesanya vs Jan Blachowicz
In a recent interview, Mike Swick asked Dillashaw what he made of the main event at UFC 259 and who he thought would win the fight. He said, “Man, I’m very interested in that fight. I’m a huge fan of Stylebender’s striking, the way he is able to switch stances up, and the angles he is able to collect.

The former bantamweight champion continued, “I feel he is just as long. I don’t know what his reach is, I’d imagine the reach is probably very similar, I think he is going to keep that distance and stay a lot faster than him you know. Jan is a power hitter, but all those power hitters are usually pretty slow and flat-footed.
And I think that his footwork and angles are going to be able to pick him apart. He’s not going to be able to grab a hold of him. And Stylebender is going to win that fight and be a double champ.”
Interestingly, going into the fight, Israel Adesanya will have a two-inch reach advantage over his opponent. This will surely play a big factor in the fight and is something ‘The Last Stylebender’ will exploit completely. It will be interesting to see what approach Jan Blachowicz takes for his fight against Adesanya.
