Tony Ferguson will be on the UFC 256 fight card, but he will stand opposite Charles Oliveira instead of the original plan of fighting Michael Chandler. During a press conference interview ahead of UFC 256, Tony Ferguson got a little heated when an interviewer asked him why he didn’t want to fight Chandler but accepted the fight against Oliveira.

Cutting him off, Ferguson said, “Whoa, Whoa, Whoa … Motherf**ker … Check this out. UFC said that Chandler had a fight and then Chandler said that he didn’t have a fight. Somewhere along the lines, somebody was f**king lying. I’m sitting here telling you to get your f**king facts straight. You’re asking the wrong question. You’re asking other people. Oliveira is the only game opponent that wanted to fight. Chandler doesn’t want to fight and Poirier doesn’t want to fight.”

Ever since signing with the UFC, Chandler has had his name tossed around. However, none of the fights have come to fruition. Chandler vs Ferguson seemed likely, but UFC fans may have to wait a while to see the duo fight each other.

Tony Ferguson will fight at UFC 256

Ferguson called Chandler out for a fight at UFC 256. However, Chandler was booked as the backup at the UFC 254 main event. Therefore, cutting weight twice in two months wasn’t the safest of decisions, and ‘El Cucuy’ agreed to fight ‘Do Bronx’.
