But, he had to take a crushing defeat against one of the greatest boxers in the world, Floyd Mayweather. A small clip shows McGregor’s reaction immediately after the match.

Conor McGregor has established his legacy as one of the finest MMA fighters in the UFC competition. The MMA-Fighter has never backed down from a challenge. He further went on from winning the featherweight championship to dominating the lightweight championship. Also, he became the first fighter in the history of the sport to win across multiple weight divisions.

But, the fighter collapsed when facing the biggest challenge of his career back in 2017. Popularly known as “The Money Fight“, the undefeated boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather, faced the two-division MMA champion, Conor McGregor.

The heavily anticipated bout where McGregor faced the boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather, in the ring ultimately went the latter’s way.

Although ‘The Irishman’ started off strong Mayweather, however, dominated towards the end of the 10-round boxing match.

A clip emerged that shows Conor McGregor sad and disappointed after the defeat. He is sitting calmly in a corner refusing to talk much. His partner Dee Devlin is by his side, trying to console him after the loss. This is indeed a rare sight for all to see.

Soon, UFC President Dana White walks up to a defeated McGregor, who starts apologizing for the money lost in the defeat. White responds with “Sorry…? Dude I’m ecstatic”.

He then asks him to “be proud..” and talks about his unbelievable performance in the ring and kisses him on the head.

In the first 3 rounds, it was actually McGregor who dominated Mayweather. But, the Dubliner’s inexperience in the sport and Mayweather’s decisive approach ultimately led to the latter rounds going the way of “Money”.
