It comes as a surprise that Kyle Larson has won two races in the NASCAR Cup Series this season. Given the fact that he’s time and again getting hit by different cars, it is an achievement to have twice entered the victory lane in the ongoing campaign. Despite finishing at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, Larson was deemed unlucky because of the clash he was involved in.

It was not just only Denny Hamlin who spun the Hendrick Motorsports guy. Michael Jordan’s young sensation played an important role in seeing Larson end up as the runner-up. Naturally, the fans spotted it during the race and have showered their criticism.

Michael Jordan’s driver disrupts Kyle Larson’s momentum early on at the Kansas Speedway

Poor old Kyle Larson has been the butt of a lot of rotten luck in the past few races. Unfortunately at the Kansas Speedway, the string of bad luck continued yet again. This time around, he was spun around by Tyler Reddick early in the race and that compromised his momentum.

Luckily, he did not have any contact with a wall or another car, but he was still inconvenienced. To make matters worse for the Hendrick Motorsports driver, Denny Hamlin turned him around on the final lap. This was to snatch the lead and take his first win of the season, but that’s another story.

Safe to say, a number of Larson fans were up in arms about the events of the race. A lot of them rightfully blamed Reddick for the incident and lamented that some other driver’s ‘stupidity’ cost him yet again. As a matter of fact, this is the third race in a row that the 2021 Cup Series champion has been an innocent victim of such an incident and come off worse.

Unsurprisingly, fans came out in Larson’s favor as they slammed Reddick for the role played in the outcome of the race.

Tyler Reddick spinning Kyle Larson at Kansas Speedway leaves fans fuming

Of course, there were also a few jokes involving the incident. Namely highlighting the #5 driver’s rough relationship with any McDonald’s branded car. This was obviously a cheeky reference to the time when Bubba Wallace intentionally took out Larson in Las Vegas in 2022. McDonald’s is a primary sponsor for the #23 driver and was sponsoring Reddick’s #45 car this weekend in Kansas.

One of the comments related to this context said, “Larson ain’t never eating McDonald’s again.” Jokes aside, a lot of angry fans declared Reddick needed to ‘learn how to drive’. One said, “Dude needs to learn how to drive. Tired of this.” Frankly, they were tired of seeing Larson repeatedly get taken out due to no fault of his. A fan said, “3 weeks in a row taken out by someone else’s stupidity.”

On the other hand, some did confess that the 2021 Cup Series champion should drop the nice guy act pretty quickly. According to them, once Kyle Larson shows some aggression, he will likely stop being pushed around by other drivers. One of them said, “The last 3 weeks have been an absolute nightmare for a Larson fan. Dude’s gonna have to grow a mean bone here pretty soon or else this is just going to keep happening.”

Safe to say, Reddick has lost a fair number of fans, and Larson fans think that he ‘sucks’. One fan said, “Tyler Reddick sucks and I’d tell him to his face.” The only positive for Larson is that he at least has two wins under his belt. So, as regards a playoff spot, he’s in a better position than others.
