“It’s Gonna Be Ugly” – Kyle Busch Makes Honest Admission Amidst Ongoing NASCAR Saga in the 2022 Playoffs

The two-time Cup Series Champion, Kyle Busch, is yet to confirm about his future with Richard Childress Racing in 2023. Amidst this contract saga, #18 driver is also struggling with better races in this season’s NASCAR Playoffs.

By finishing at the 26th place this Sunday and with one last race to go in the first round of playoffs, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver is just a couple of points behind Austin Cindric for the final spot.

Kyle Busch post-race said, “Just had damage after going through the grass. Kind of ruined the rest of our day, but whatever happened on that pit stop set us backwards. To get us back in traffic there. Try to make adjustments to the car to make it faster. It did make it fast. But definitely made it looser.”

The interviewer also asked, “Considering your history at Bristol, do you feel good about being able to do what you need to do it to advance?”

To which #18 driver replied, “Not with the luck of this year, absolutely not. Nope. So I’ll go try hard and if what Bristol has always been to me occurs, I will be fine.”

“But with the way this year’s been if that occurs, it’s gonna be ugly.” said Busch in the end.

Although, having an exemplary track record in the Dirt Race with nice cup wins. And a recent win this year in April in the Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. So this will be #18 Toyota’s driver do or die situation.

Kyle Busch contract saga finally coming to an end?

In a recent pre-race interview at Kansas, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver talked about his most likely landing spot for the NASCAR 2023 season. And with the answer he gave in that interview, it does seem like Richard Childress Racing is the probable one.

With the response he gave, we can conclude that Kyle Busch has hashed his decade old feud with Richard Childress, the owner of RCR. The positive response from the JGR driver proves that he has come to a solution for the struggles he’s been facing the whole season.
