The firsts are always worth remembering, especially if it propels one to achieve dreams. In the world of NASCAR, where the competition is cut-throat, etching one’s name on the first try is nothing less than an impressive feat. It requires patience and dexterity to do so. And the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series simply bore witness to this feat at Kansas Speedway.

While a good debut is difficult to achieve, one of Victoria’s Secret stars has surely made a fine first impression. However, this seems to be a cause for concern for Truck Series star Hailie Deegan.

The world of NASCAR has seen very few yet some of the best women drivers, ranging from Danica Patrick to Louise Smith, who was discovered by Bill France himself. And in recent times, female drivers are ready to take the extra step in order to carve their name in a sport dominated by males.

Earlier it was Hailie Deegan who had made her mark in the Craftsman Truck Series. And now it is Toni Breidinger. The Craftsman Truck Series at Kansas Speedway will always be a memorable one for Breidinger. The 23-year-old impressed many after finishing 15th in his debut race in Kansas.

In fact, she finished not far behind from 12th placed Hailie Deegan, the other female driver in the grid. Certainly, if her debut has been this impressive, the future surely seems bright. While Deegan would appreciate healthy competition, Breidinger’s arrival must be concerning for her.

An ecstatic Toni spoke after the race. She said, “I feel like this gives me a confidence boost as a driver and hopefully I can do more Truck races and get even better finishes. Nobody gives an inch, so I feel like there’s a massive learning curve throughout.”

While Breidinger did well in her debut, it surely grabbed the fans’ attention. Many of them even compared her and Deegan straightaway.

Naturally, with another female driver in the Truck Series arena, it didn’t take fans any time to compare the two. While Toni seized a top 15 finish on her debut, Hailie had finished 16th in her first race back in 2020. The fans took to Twitter to express their difference in opinions.

One observant fan wrote, She’s way better than Deegan. Deegan barely finished ahead of her and this was Toni’s first race, which is pretty damn sad.”

While another Toni fan wrote, “Already better than Hailie.”

Another was inquisitive of the fact, “Better than Deegan?

Some others said, “That’s exactly what a driver debut should be. Steadily get better through the race and keep your name out of the broadcast booth except to give you props”

“Great. Didn’t crash. Now get in the top 5 a few times and win a few.”

“The fight was crazy. Got down a lap early and fought back for a good finish. Honestly, can say I’m surprised. Hopefully, she gets another chance soon.”

However, there is no denying the fact that both these drivers have come a long way. Defeating all odds, these two female drivers have become a beacon of hope for others. And only time will tell who is better than the other.
