Despite all the struggles caused by the looming uncertainty over his future for a better part of the 2022 season, Kyle Busch is heading into the next phase of his career with an inspired mindset. And the inspiration is legendary, with a  Tom Brady/Peyton Manning-type ring to it. At least that’s how the ex-Joe Gibbs Racing driver looks at it.

Busch had recently opened up about the perspective he will be carrying on to his new tenure at Richard Childress Racing—a perspective inspired by NFL legends Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. This is something that TJ Majors, the former spotter of Dale Earnhardt Jr. has also seconded.

Speaking about Busch joining RCR and his comments about Brady and Manning, Majors said, “If you get Kyle Busch coming in, it is like you got Tom Brady coming in there. You know what I mean?

“Like, I can see where…it’s a big shot in the arm for them guys. I mean, to sign him and get him in there,” the spotter continued, “It’s a big deal.”

Kyle Busch is basing his RCR tenure on NFL Royalty’s footsteps

Leaving behind the struggles of the past season with Joe Gibbs Racing, Kyle Busch opened up about his inspired perspective, something that he will be taking forward to RCR.

“I’m kind of looking at it as a Tom Brady, Peyton Manning aspect where they left great teams, great organizations where they won championships and they were able to win a championship somewhere else,” Busch said according to NBC Sports.

The new #8 driver is hoping he has the opportunity to recreate Brady and Manning’s legacy at Richard Childress Racing. And a big part of him having a shot at achieving that is, according to Busch, the new Next Gen car. “I look at the opportunity with the new Next Gen race car as an easier move to make now with that vs. years past with previous generation cars,” he emphasized.
