William Byron is creating ripples in the NASCAR paddock. And why not? Being the successor of Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon, in the #24 Chevrolet, the young HMS driver is steering the ship in the right direction. The trajectory of Byron’s success has been that of a storybook. After proving to be a strong contender for the championship in the last season, the young prodigy has already welcomed the 2024 season with his right foot forward.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver is no different than the common masses, emanating the boy next door aura, when it comes to anything apart from racing. Whether it is playing with Lego or drooling over a piece of Oreo, Byron’s latest post might prove this.

As a driver, William Byron is already marching on victory notes in the 2024 season after claiming the Crown Jewel race of the Daytona 500. Nevertheless, like any other normal being, the driver apart from his day job has a serious liking for building Legos and eating packs of Oreo. This was evident from the driver’s reaction to the news of Krispy Kreme collaborating with the chocolate manufacturing giant for the creation of limited edition donuts to honor the rare celestial occurrence in the country on April 8. As Krispy Kreme released the image of the exclusive donuts, the Daytona 500 winner reposted their post with the comments, “Oh, buddy”.

With the HMS driver salivating over a box of donuts, who knows perhaps this dessert store might become a potential sponsor for the driver, like the probable partnership with toy company giant Lego.
Is a possible Lego sponsorship on the horizon for William Byron?

Driving at the speed of 180 mph for at least 36 weeks in a year, it comes as a shock to many that the #24 Chevrolet driver finds peace in building Legos. However, a part of credit should also be given to Byron’s girlfriend Erin Blaney, who introduced the driver to this uncharted world. With Netflix’s docuseries NASCAR: Full Speed providing a sneak peek into the life of the HMS driver, and his unexpected hobby, speculations are on the rise that the toy giant might become a possible sponsor for the driver.

Even the driver did not dismiss the possibility, rather stating, “Yeah, I mean we’re working on it, for sure. I’d love to have a LEGO car out there. I think they do so many unique things with that design. Certainly, still going to build.. need to work on my next project here soon. I have some ideas. They are going to send me quite a few sets, so that’ll be nice. No more eBay. I usually go on eBay and get the LEGO sets because they’re backordered.”
