Critiques regarding his size, athleticism, and ability to lead a team were close to none, painting a picture of a player with limited potential in the NBA. Despite being the seventh pick in the 2009 draft, Curry’s path to greatness was clouded by skepticism.

His teammates also questioned their coach’s decision when he got drafted to Davidson. Their major concern was that he was too skinny and was very easy to guard at the time. Davidson forward Andrew Lovedale even said in the documentary, “I didn’t think he could hang with us and I thought I would probably crush him.” Curry himself was skeptical about his own career at one point. In the documentary, he candidly reveals moments of doubt, expressing his disbelief at becoming a reality beyond his wildest dreams.
