Stephen Curry stunned the NBA world after he hinted at a possible career in politics. Curry sat down for an interview with CBS Mornings to promote his new children’s book, I Am Extraordinary. During the interview, Steph revealed that he would be open to joining politics and even running for President if that was the way to bring meaningful change. Following Curry’s statement, the internet dug up his teammate Draymond Green’s 2020 interview, revealing a key detail about the Presidential campaign.

Draymond did not vote in the 2016 Presidential elections because he believed it did not matter. However, Green soon realized his mistake and vowed to make amends in the upcoming elections. In a 2020 interview with Andscape, Draymond revealed how he educated himself about the importance of voting. “When you look at the voting numbers, a lot of young people didn’t turn out, myself being one of them, and especially a lot of young African American people. And it’s taken me to get educated to understand how important it is for us to exercise our right to vote and not listen to the garbage that’s being put out there and giving us all the false reasons that we can’t vote.” Green said.

The Warriors Forward joined 4-time Champion LeBron James’ More Than A Vote initiative ahead of the 2020 elections. The group aimed at protecting the voting rights of African Americans and motivating them to cast a vote in the upcoming elections. Draymond added, “If we all sit back and say, ‘I’m only one vote, it don’t matter,’ then we end up with results like we ended up with the last election that put our country in the place where it is today.”
