After his retirement, Shaquille O’Neal has turned into a calm and composed TV personality. Whereas during his active years in the NBA, the big man dominated the game. Especially, he dominated the paint and aggressively dunked over his opponents. Moreover, he had picked up various unsettled beef throughout his 19-season-long career. However, one of his unsettled beef has woken up recently and hit back at him with a brutal stance.
Importantly, Shaq had beef with the superstars of the game as well. Even though Shaq produced a three-peat with Kobe Bryant during his stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, he ended up having beef with The Mamba. Eventually, the duo set aside their differences and reconciled later in their career. However, Diesel’s beef with another Lakers star is yet to be settled.
Former Lakers star takes a dig at Shaquille O’Neal

Almost everyone in the NBA world would consider Shaquille O’Neal as the most dominant player in the league. However, after Dwight Howard‘s entry into the league in 2004 as the #1 draft pick, things seemed to change a bit. In fact, both stars shared a nickname, Superman. Coincidentally, both started off their career for the Orlando Magic as #1 draft picks. Nevertheless, Big Daddy overpowered Howard and went on to win more rings. Even though Howard considered him the most dominant player, Shaq still considered him a foe.
On a recent podcast with Math Hoffa and his hosts, Howard opened up on the long-standing beef. Notably, after a year in the Taiwanese league with his $1 million dollar deal, one host asked the former Laker how he felt when the pundits called him, the “Second coming of Shaq.” The star downplayed the question by saying that he never thought about it. He further said, “I never wanted to compare myself to Shaq or any other player.” He also added, “Shaq wasn’t a favorite player of mine growing up.”

As mentioned earlier, both stars shared the same nickname. However, once Shaq tried to secure the nickname only for him with a special post. The Lakers legend took to his FB and shared a photoshopped version of him dunking on Howard, via Bleacher Report. Thus, he secured the nickname for himself.
