Jaylen Brown churned in 30 points with 8 rebounds and 6 assists, leading the team’s offense alongside Jayson Tatum‘s 21 points. It’s usually Tatum, who leads the team in the offense column and Brown takes the role of the second fiddle. However, on this occasion, where the In-season quarter-final spot is at stake, the 27-year-old star stepped in to produce a game-winning performance to decimate the Bulls. Notably, Brown had an inconsistent run so far in the season, averaging 22 points, whereas he registered 26 points last season.

2. Zach LaVine’s injury further deepens the trade rumors
Zach LaVine suffered soreness in his right foot and exited the floor after a 25-minute game time. And this could act as the final nail in the coffin for LaVine’s journey with the Bulls. Following a series of disappointing games from the Bulls, despite the star’s impressive performances, several trade rumors swarmed the Bulls team. Notably, several reports suggested that the 28-year-old has picked a few teams which he intends to play for. Moreover, a recent video clip of LaVine walking off the court, ignoring the Bulls’ PR person animately, caused a stir on the internet.

3. Joe Mazzulla drops coaching masterclass
The Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla has been on the radar for quite a while for his coaching style. A few days ago, he surprised the NBA world when he opted for a coach’s challenge during the last seconds of the game despite having a blowout lead. Apart from that, he barely uses more than 3 players from the bench. However, in the game against the Bulls, Mazzulla brought in his A-game to keep the points differentials in play to secure a safe spot in the In-season Tournament.
Some of the analysts have already called Mazzulla as chief contender for In-season Tournament coach of the year. Especially for his play to hack Andre Drummond and make him take shots from the line. Apart from that, the Celtics’ defense was also on a high alert.
