Joel Embiid took center stage after the win over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night. He went up against the towering Nikola Jokic and his men and dropped 41 points with 10 assists and helped his side with a 126-121 win. Following the game, he shared his two cents on what defines being the best player in the game.
Tonight’s game was nothing short of a one-man show. Embiid continued his dream run in the season, churning in MVP numbers against the defending champions. Currently, he averages 35.1 points per game with 11 rebounds. These unreal numbers have set up the stage for the big man for yet another MVP award. However, before that, the 29-year-old defined what it takes to be the best player in the game.

In the last season, the MVP race was a close win for the Sixers spearhead. Meanwhile, this season, Joel Embiid has been sitting on the top with a huge difference margin from his competitors. Notably, in the last season, he had James Harden‘s support by his side, but this season, Embiid took up business entirely in his hand, averaging two points more than the previous season.
Following the game, the reigning MVP wasn’t short of words when a reporter asked him if he wanted to be seen as the best player in the game. He said, ” I don’t think I care what people decide who’s the best. I know I want to be the best and I know I’m gonna do whatever it takes to be the best.”
