Kevin Durant knows his music as well as he does basketball. His A&R status to Drake’s album is a testament to that. Lately, he has been grooving to an NBA player’s song, which has made many fans want to get that young center to Phoenix. Are these Twitter exchanges a prelude to a possibility, or was it just KD being kind to that ex-Hornets player?

The Phoenix Suns have off-loaded DeAndre Ayton from their roster, and have gained Jusuf Nurkic, which according to many is a step down. If that is the case indeed, can they make a roster spot for this athletic big?

The Suns are a Super Team

With the addition of Bradley Beal, to Devin Booker and KD, make the Suns, a triple threat in the scoring department. They have also added some great pieces, like Eric Gordon and Yuta Watanabe. However, in the center position, they do not have a dominant presence.

Jusuf Nurkic is a skilled big, but very injury prone. Then Phoenix has some rotational bigs like Bol Bol, who are yet to cement their place in the league. Thus, Kevin Durant could enjoy Kai Jones’s company if the Suns take him on board.

Anyway, in the below post, KD seems to be enjoying Kai’s singing ability. And the fans are already wanting Kai on the Sun’s roster.

Kai Jones needs all the supports from the NBA world. Getting released from the Hornets team was somewhat his own undoing. But this talented 22-year-old, who went to Marquette university has a lot of promise. In fact, his college coach Shaka Smart has recommended that “Kai has the best work ethic of any big man he has coached.

Such high praises and yet a dismal show in the NBA. But these days, stress and depression are on the rise, and Kai could be a victim of that.

Can Phoenix have Kai?

Kai is an athletic big, who can rim run and defend, and could be a rebounding machine at his height. More than his talents, there is something about Kai which is making NBA fans empathize with him. The below tweets can manifest a roster spot for Kai at Phoenix.

One fan was relishing Kai’s dunks.

But come to Phoenix, clamor was the predominant theme in this post.

If not the Suns, some team in the NBA should be able to use Kai Jones as their primary center. And as for Kai, whenever he gets his next chance, he better take it seriously and not let his emotions destroy his career.
