Shaq played 1,207 games in the NBA. This mind-boggling stat just goes on to underscore James’ consistency and longevity. Kevin Durant is the closest active player to LeBron’s incredible record, but he’s a long way behind at 170 consecutive games. While LeBron’s regular-season scoring prowess is impressive, he falls notably behind Michael Jordan and Kevin Durant in playoff scoring.

In playoff basketball, LeBron has only recorded double-digit points in 21 consecutive games. Meanwhile, Michael Jordan holds the record for the most consecutive double-digit points games with 179 games. Durant even outshines LeBron James in another aspect, as KD has scored double-digit points in 162 consecutive playoff games. However, such statistics don’t paint a complete picture of LeBron’s scoring prowess in the postseason.

Although LeBron may not match Michael Jordan’s streak in playoff scoring consistency, he still holds the record for the most playoff points in NBA history. LeBron James has scored 8,203 points in the playoffs at an average of 28.5 points per game. The next closest player to James’ record is Michael Jordan, who has scored 5,987 points in the postseason. LeBron can further add to his insane playoff tally with the Lakers in this season’s playoff.

LeBron James is on pace for playing the third most career seasons in the playoffs, with 17 seasons. The Los Angeles Lakers currently occupy the 9th spot in the Western Conference standings, with 36 wins from 66 games. Despite enduring a subpar season, the Lakers are poised to clinch a playoff berth.

Obviously, LeBron has played an instrumental role for the Lakers, as he has averaged 25.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 8 assists per game this season. However, the Lakers would face a stern test in the playoffs, as they would probably have to go through the play-in tournament.
