In the world of basketball, the sneaker culture has its own place. Not only do basketball professionals get to wear their own signature shoes, but they also have the power to make trends. That is why big brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Under Armour are giving multi-million dollar deals to basketball stars. All of this is because of the influence and reach they have on the world. Recently, the 22-year-old rising star Anthony Edwards is releasing his own signature line of shoes called, “AE1”.

The Minnesota Timberwolves budding star is stepping into the spotlight with the release of his first-ever signature sneaker, the AE1, by Adidas. The dynamic young star has, however, been with Adidas since entering the NBA in 2020. And now he is prepared to make a striking statement on and off the court.

Adidas made a big deal out of the AE1, releasing it at a special ceremony in Edwards’ hometown of Atlanta. The first colorway of the shoe, a stunning combination of peach and black, pays reference to Georgia’s nickname, “Peach State.”

But Garnett further went on to say that he loved the David Beckham football shoes of Adidas. And always wished that they would incorporate some of those elements in their basketball shoe lineup. Because the company is worth $31.77Bn and if they did more collabs of their designer lineups with the basketball shoes, it would’ve made the Adidas basketball shoes more prestigious. However, this season is setting a milestone for having a large number of signature shoes on the court.
