LeBron James played his heart out in tonight’s Lakers vs. Warriors clash. With Anthony Davis leaving mid-game due to injury, the King took over and scored 40 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. Unfortunately, his heroics could not stop the Lakers from losing to Stephen Curry and Co. Nonetheless, tonight’s loss did not deter LeBron from going Dad Mode to support a former NBA star.

King James immediately went on social media following tonight’s loss and expressed excitement for his former Miami Heat teammate, Eddie House. LeBron shared a video of House getting hyped after his son took over the San Diego State Aztecs vs. New Mexico Lobos game. LeBron tweeted, “I love that!!!” followed by several fire emojis.

Eddie’s son, Jaelen House, plays as a guard for the New Mexico Lobos. The 22-year-old balled out in the Vegas matchup and dropped a game-high 28 points and 5 rebounds. His scoring outburst led the Lobos to a 68-61 victory. In the video LeBron shared, Eddie was yelling, “That’s my motherfu*king son!” after Jaelen House scored a tough layup to extend the lead to 5 points.

LeBron James knows how exciting it can be as a father to watch your son perform at a high level. With both his sons, Bronny and Bryce, being star athletes, the King has always enjoyed supporting them on the hardwood. Appreciating that moment despite dealing with tonight’s heartbreaking loss shows how much it meant to LeBron.

LeBron James is not Eddie House’s GOAT

Eddie House and LeBron James have shared a connection for a long time. They were both teammates for a brief period during their time in Miami. House played the 2010-11 season with the Miami Heat, the same year LeBron took his talents to South Beach. Unfortunately, Eddie does not have many fond memories of his time with LeBron.

In a 2018 interview, House revealed why he could never consider LeBron the GOAT. “I can’t get over the fact he didn’t show up in Dallas. Not only because I was on the team, but the fact he was the best player and everybody was dependent on him to show up and do what he does, and he was M.I.A. He had a bad series. Jordan never had that… but you going to say somebody who quit in the Finals, [at] the end of everything, when all the marbles are on the table, that he’s the greatest of all time? I can’t buy it.”

Eddie House was still sour about LeBron James not being able to win a Championship in 2011. But opinions aside, the former teammates clearly have a budding off-court relationship.
