Joel Embiid finally got the bragging rights over 2-time MVP Nikola Jokic. Embiid dominated Nikola Jokic and Co. tonight and led the Sixers to a 126-121 victory. He continued his incredible run and finished the game with 41 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds. However, after the game, Embiid and Jokic had nothing but respect for each other. The two superstars shook hands and embraced after the final whistle blew on their historic duel.
The reigning MVP revealed what he whispered in The Joker’s ear after he took down the defending Champions in tonight’s impressive win.

Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic exchanged some words after their historic duel in Philadelphia. During the post-game interview, Joel Embiid revealed what he whispered to The Joker. “Keep doing your thing, and that’s why you’re the best (player) in the league,” Embiid said. The reigning MVP crowned Jokic with the ultimate honor by deeming him the best player in the league. Embiid acknowledged that The Denver Nuggets are the defending champions and Jokic is the reigning Finals MVP. So, he had nothing but respect for the Serbian superstar.

It is great to see Embiid paying respect to Jokic despite dominating him in tonight’s game. Embiid is arguably having a better season than Jokic this year. He is leading the league in scoring and has been a nightmare for his opponents. Embiid is averaging 34.9 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 5.9 assists. The reigning MVP is also emulating some aspects of The Joker’s game. He has become a better passer this season and is averaging a career-high in assists. The two superstars will face each other again next week on January 27.
